Watford Traders - Going West?

Watford Traders - alive and well

Ive been here 40 years Im not moving!

Were a new business and see good things happening

Flea found cause for inspiration when out and about recently.

With the economy definitely in need of a pick me up, its obvious local business may not be able to help directly with the bigger picture although optimism is high for a great start to 2010 and with so much to offer locally West Watford residents are spoilt for choice!

Why not call in and support your local business, prove them right and help them make a difference?

Watford Traders - leading from the front

West Watford holds an amazing mix of vibrant businesses covering a wide range of needs. Its certainly a gourmets delight, with a huge range of fresh herbs, spices, exotic fruits and vegetables supplied from every corner of the
globe and almost all of better quality and at lower prices than youll find in the supermarkets. As an excellent example, Pinoy Special Oriental Food Shop in the Vicarage Road precinct offers a wide range of Filipino, Thai, Malaysian and Chinese specialities.

If you prefer your food prepared for you, the area is unequalled for international flavours including Afro-Caribbean, Southern Indian, Contemporary Indian, Italian, Portuguese and many more.

Although Whippendell Road now offers a wide choice, don't miss the area around the Vicarage Road precinct. where there's some real gems.

Mingo's Afro-Caribbean restaurant and take-away also offers outside catering for your special events. Check out Mingo's in the search box above to find their extensive menu and more about this amazing little place. If you've not tried this style of cooking before, call in to see Jean and her friendly team who will make sure you get a warm welcome and a meal to remember. As she says "no-one comes here just once!" With Free delivery or freebies if you collect yourself and 10% discount on orders over just £10, you'd be mad not to try it.

UPDATE 2011: Mingo's is now call "Patwarls" - but you'll find the same friendly welcome, great caribbean food and outside catering services all in the same place at 99 Vicarage Road.

Just across the road, you'll find one of Watford's least-known but best quality Indian take-aways at Kasturi. With a fine range of top quality contemporary indian cuisine freshly prepared while you wait, Kasturi is unique in offering not only free delivery - but for all collected orders over £20, customers can receive a £5 discount with the voucher you'll find in the voucher download section - or clip one out from page 7 of your printed flea magazine. Not only do you get the most delicious indian food around, but with the discount offered from their already competitive prices - Kasturi offers by far the best value in Watford.

Of course if you prefer kentucky-style or peri-peri Chicken or enjoy a range of Halal Kebabs and Kuftas - just drop into XFC in Market Street any day of the year - including all public and bank holidays. Great value, superb food and friendly staff.

So why not visit, discover and enjoy Watford Out West and dont forget to take the money-off vouchers in this magazine.
