What have you always wanted to do?
We spoke to Snéha Khilay of Blue Tulip Training to find out more about the barriers stopping us as women fulfilling our dreams and ambitions, and what we can do about them. For some of us its about a lack of confidence, whereas for others its the effect that those ambitions may have on the people that are important to us.
Snéha explained how her Women of Worth Personal Effectiveness courses have been making a difference to women in Hertfordshire.
One woman had always wanted to write a book but had never got around to it. As a result of attending Women of Worth, she signed up for a creative writing course. Another woman was struggling at work and was uncomfortable at expressing how overwhelmed she was there. This was affecting her health, her work and her home life. After the course, she felt far more confident and was able to express her concerns clearly and confidently, as well as being able to say no to an increase in her workload.
Although Women of Worth courses have 2 main focus areas, goal setting & communication skills, they also include ways of building confidence, setting boundaries and learning to be more assertive. These women only courses have enabled women to inspire and encourage each other, to share experiences and to start taking steps to achieving their goals.
Heres details of the next .course. You can find out more at www.bluetuliptraining.co.uk
