Have you ever thought of joining the PTA or helping out with Scouts or Girl Guides?

Voluntary work can be extremely rewarding especially when you get the opportunity to make a difference to a child's life.

Recruiting for the New North Watford Extended Schools Committee

We aim to bring together 17 schools with one voluntary committee and we are looking for parents from each of the 17 schools who want to make a positive contribution to Extended Schools activities.

Voluntary work Involves…

• Attending meetings in the evening every 4 to 6 weeks.
• Fundraising for Extended Schools which could include working as a team at different school fetes, organising road shows etc.
• Assisting your school with the promotion of the activities, supporting them with their Extended Schools notice boards.
• Talking to the PTA/Governors at your child's school to keep them up to date.
• Consulting with families at your school to find out what they want to see in their Extended Schools activities.

• Voluntary work provides valuable experience to add to any CV.
• Free enhanced CRB check and child protection training.
