Avoid those BUGS
by Kim Crundall – Balance Nutrition
Now the children are back to school there are the inevitable ‘bugs’ flying around again. To keep yourself, and your family, healthy and free of them here are some simple tips:
Take Echinacea daily to boost your immune system.
Avoid sugar & sugary foods – it depresses the immune system, so avoiding those cakes and biscuits really does have a benefit and not just for your waistline!
Yes, it’s the fruit and vegetables again – the more you eat the better your health.
If you have a ‘bug’, take 1g of Vitamin C every 2 – 3 hours; this shortens the duration of infections. For kids under 12 try 500mg, or 250mg if under 8.
It really does work!
