DIY SOS featuring ACTORS Building Company

After Jennifer was hospitalised with a mystery illness which meant she ended up in a coma and Mark was at a critical point in the build of an extension, leaving the family with no hot water, heating or electricity, friends rallied to contact the TV programme makers for their help.

A local builder, Paul Thomson of Actors Building Company, a regular FLEA advertiser, stepped in to join the SOS team with less than 24 hours notice.

He fitted a kitchen for the couple and helped with other general building works. “It was a great experience to join the SOS team, along with other local trades, to help Mark and Jenny” said Paul. “We were on an amazingly tight deadline but we all pulled together to make it happen.”

DIY SOS is due to be televised over the summer.
