News from Watford’s FREdome Visionary Trust.
The FREdome Youth section FREdome-YEA (Youth Encouraging Adults) has reached an astonishing 19,000 supporters online and continues to attract happy crowds of under-18’s to its legendary, peaceful club nights at Area nightclub.
The funds raised for FREdome will be allocated to supporting the local project, C-green Solutions, www.c-greensolutions.com.
Young people are expressing interest in setting up similar events in neighbouring towns and are looking to find ways of creating a sustainable business model for the events so they can be responsibly run by young people.
Local agency Orchard Recruitment is to join FREdome in a ground-breaking initiative to offer voluntary work for a managed team of jobseekers in Watford. Their efforts will be channelled into creating leading-edge, renewable industries for the good of the local economy, the wider community and their own personal futures. Volunteer duties will include fundraising, event management and press relations support for FREdome’s exciting programme of initiatives for young people and business.
A part-time volunteer is also sought to help in the running of the FREdome office in Sopwell. Funding may be made available to pay a salary in future. For more information call 0845 225 3005 or 01727 823131 or email greg@fredome.org
