Mumpreneur - Lilach Bullock
Lilach Bullock – Entrepreneur, Director and Trainer
In 2004 after having my daughter, I asked myself “Is this it?” Having spent many years building up a career in PA, secretarial and training roles, I was now unsure how to balance the needs of my family with the desire to pursue my career using the skills and experience I had gained all over the world.
Working part-time just wasn’t enough – it brought little financial reward or satisfaction. After some research it appeared that virtual working seemed to be the answer and in 2006 I set up asklilach Ltd. For small and new start up businesses we provide ‘virtual’ services that were traditionally carried out by a Personal Assistant.
For clients it’s a ‘win-win’ situation because as a virtual assistant I am not an employee so any associated staffing costs are avoided. Services include one-off projects or a monthly retainer and clients only pay for the time they use.
For me, the benefits have been far reaching and life changing. Whilst setting up the business has been hard work, it’s also been hugely rewarding. I really do get the best of both worlds; the freedom to spend quality time with my family, and the satisfaction of providing valuable services to my clients.
After just six months in business; I was a finalist in the National Virtual Assistant of the Year Awards. This year, I attended an awards ceremony in Downing Street, where I was a finalist in the Mumpreneur of the Year Award 2008.
I enjoy training people to set up their own virtual PA company, and offer mentoring as part of the package. For more information call Lilach on 01442 231663 or visit www.virtualpatraining.co.uk or www.asklilach.co.uk
