7 YEARS TO SAVE PLANET EARTH
In July, newspapers such as The Guardian and Daily Express (27 July 2008) reported Professor McGuires conclusion, that we have just one hundred months to avoid runaway climate change. This will lead to storms half the size of the USA, droughts, wildfires, flooding, famine, rampant disease, extinctions of many species, mass migrations, economic collapse, wars over diminishing resources, and worse.
How to do it.
30 years of research by 30 experts at Global Eco has shown that the simple solution is to convert sunlight, excess CO2 and sea water rapidly into a plant biomass (marine algae/seaweed) to refertilise the worlds wastelands and deserts (75% of the worlds land) and grow more than enough ethical biofuels and highly nutritious foods (and more) reversing climate change and stabilising the worlds economy in the process.
What is C-Green Solutions?
In a nutshell, its an educational project based in Watford, involving young people in research and development of new ways to grow nutritious food locally. If successful it could have benefits for local people, and impacts all over the world.
How have the young people contributed?
We now have three youth groups, each of which is working on their own fun ways to raise funds locally:
- alcohol-free under 18 club nights at Area;
- live music and
- a dance performance show
