ABOUT WATFORD PALACE THEATRE
Situated right in the heart of the town centre, Watford’s Palace Theatre is an Edwardian, Grade II listed building that first opened as a music hall in 1908. It has been producing work for almost one hundred years, interrupted only during the major refurbishment that was completed in 2004. Over 100,000 people visit the Palace Theatre each year to enjoy the theatre’s latest production or to have lunch or a drink in Café Purple.
2008 marks the theatre’s Centenary and provides an opportunity for the people of Watford, as well as the theatre's many patrons, supporters and friends from around the world, to celebrate the extraordinary life of one of Britain’s best loved theatres
